Haunted forests: Chicago's spooky history

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Aokigahara Forest, also known as "Suicide Forest" lies on the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. It's the backdrop of new horror movie "The Forest," in theaters today.

In Aokigahara , here is no wildlife, the ice never melts no matter the temperature, and compasses mysteriously malfunction. Even creepier, according to legend, demon spirits haunt the forest slopes.
