WATCH: Are There Ghosts Lurking Around the ‘Silence of the Lambs’ House that’s Up for Sale?

This century-old home in Pennsylvania became famous after it was used as the home of psycho-killer Buffalo Bill in the 1991 film Silence of the Lambs. But the Hollywood cache of the place is not helping it sell on the real estate market.

Strangely enough, aside from the terrifying scenes shot for the classic horror film, never has anything out-of-the-ordinary happened inside the house that’s situated in the small town of Layton. The fictional horrors that took place within the house’s walls, however, have attracted an unprecedented number of visits to the listing’s website — but no takers.

In fact, the owners have dropped the original price of $300,000 from last year’s attempt to sell the house down to $249,900. But the discount isn’t making much of a difference.
