Ghost hunter helps deputies spirit away arson suspect
Mike Damsel normally hunts for ghosts, but instead he busted an alleged criminal.
Damsel, from RIP Hunters Paranormal, was conducting a ghost-finding investigation at a home in Polk County's Dundee.
The stories were alarming: Unexplained text written in salt that said "I'm a friendly spirit named Wilkins," a cellphone inexplicably appearing on a 10-foot tall ledge, mysterious holes in the wall. When Damsel was conducting the investigation under the cover of darkness, objects would suddenly come flying at him.
But Damsel and his team found that not only was it a ruse, it was also criminal.
He found that a man who lived at the house — Matthew Daniel Marsh, 26 — was the person behind the activity.
Marsh also allegedly set his girlfriend's sister's bed on fire when she was in it.
