Ghost Hunt at the Sorrel Weed House

Have you ever wanted to attend a real ghost hunt?

Well now is your chance! Savannah is well known as being the most Haunted City in America, but what is the most haunted place in Savannah? In many paranormal investigators opinion it is the Old Sorrel-Weed House, and now they are offering a chance for guest to join them on a late night paranormal investigation.

The Sorrel-Weed house was one of the first homes in Georgia to become a registered historic landmark in 1954. Originally built for Francis Sorrel by famed Georgia architect Charles Cluskey. Francis was a wealthy shipping merchant who was married to Matilda Moxley. The two had many children together including General Gilbert Moxley Sorrel who became one of the youngest generals in the Confederate army. Family history claims that Matilda caught Francis with an African American slave named Molly. It is very unclear what happened next, but Matilda is found dead in the courtyard of the Sorrel-Weed House and Molly was found hanging by a noose in her room of the carriage house two weeks later.
