Ghost investigations
The question “What happens after death?” is as ubiquitous as it is unattainable. It has been at the forefront of religious dogma for millennia, and each ideology has its own interpretation of what awaits its believers.
The affinity between most of the globally practiced religions is the belief in a life after death – you die, burial rituals are enacted, and at some point the soul goes to its respective afterlife. But what of the souls that don’t make the immediate voyage into the great beyond? Do these spirits linger on, intruding into the physical realm?
For Dominick Allan, it’s not a question, it’s a certainty.
Allan, a radio DJ for KIX-FM, has an unusual hobby: ghost hunting. At a young age, Allan realized that he was in touch with the paranormal – specifically ghosts. His first experience with a ghost was in his bedroom at his parent’s home in Chicago.
“For a while, I thought I was hallucinating, but it kept recurring with the same ghost over and over again,” Allan said. “It got to the point where I just became in tune with it, and eventually it was just normal.”
