Berks the Bizarre: Ghostly presence detected in Reading home
As the author of more than 30 books on the paranormal and a collector and investigator of ghost stories for more than four decades, I get my share of tales that are, in their simplicity, quite frightening.
In the larger scope of matters, they are frightening only to the teller of the tale. But, if the readers can put themselves in that teller's time and place, they will understand and perhaps share the fear.
This story is from a neighborhood in Reading and a home in which a man suffered for many months before dying in a hospital bed that was placed in an upstairs room.
