In Barnwell, two 'down home country boyz' hunt for answers to paranormal questions
BARNWELL — Ryan Love walked up the porch steps to a house he’d never been inside before, knocked on the door and asked the woman who answered if she believed in ghosts.
Yes, Marcela Zavala said, and she told Love about what had happened in the three years she’d lived there with her children and mother. The figure hovering over her as she slept, the pill bottle flying off the microwave, the light one of her daughters keeps on at night because she feels like someone’s watching her.
Love told her about Paranormal 64, the investigation team he co-founded with his longtime friend Brandon Spell two years ago. Spell had suggested this location; he says he knew a former resident whose husband died by suicide. Spell has heard of other suicides here, as well as rumors of strange things happening to previous residents.
