Searching for spirits at the Lord Nelson
f the legends are true, Halifax is full of things that go bump in the night.
From spirits lingering from the Halifax Explosion and the Titanic, to a Mi’kmaq ghost on Citadel Hill, the downtown core is said to be loaded with paranormal activity.
In early October, local citizens will learn if downtown Halifax’s Lord Nelson Hotel will be added to the city’s list of haunted locations.
Chip Coffey, an internationally acclaimed psychic, medium, paranormal investigator, lecturer and star of A&E’s Paranormal State and Psychic Kids, will host a lecture and ghost hunt at the Lord Nelson on Oct. 6.
The evening includes a lecture, questions from the audience, psychic readings and, finally, Coffey will investigate the hotel for lingering spirits.
Coffey said he has stayed at the Lord Nelson a couple of times in the past and has had some “pretty good results.”
